Refund Policy
Last Updated: August 1, 2026
This Refund Policy applies to every pass and every registration for the I20 Summit, also known as The Investment 20. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions, and it is written to be read before you buy rather than after.
1. All Sales Are Final
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. PASSES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, AND WE DO NOT ISSUE CREDITS OR EXCHANGES.
We run this way for a straightforward reason. Capacity, venue space, catering, credentials, hotel allocations and programme commitments are contracted and paid for well ahead of the event, on the strength of registrations already taken. A pass takes a seat out of the room the moment it is bought.
Please treat your purchase as final and plan accordingly.
2. Circumstances That Do Not Qualify for a Refund
To be clear about what section 1 means, no refund, credit or exchange is available if any of the following happens. This list is illustrative rather than exhaustive.
- You are unable to attend for any personal, professional or business reason, including a scheduling conflict.
- Your visa is delayed, refused or withdrawn, or you are denied entry to the United States.
- Your travel is delayed, cancelled or disrupted, including by weather, airline action or industrial action.
- You are unwell, injured, or required to isolate, or there is a family or medical emergency.
- Your employment changes, your organization withdraws its approval, or your budget is cut.
- A speaker, moderator, session, room, time, format or the running order changes.
- You decide after buying that you would rather have a different tier of pass.
- You do not attend, arrive late, or leave early.
- You are refused entry or removed from the event for breaching our Terms and Conditions.
We recommend booking refundable travel and accommodation, and taking out travel insurance that covers non-refundable event fees. Most policies do.
3. Billing Errors and Duplicate Charges
We do correct our own mistakes. If you were charged twice for the same pass, charged an amount that does not match the price shown at the point of purchase, or charged after cancelling before your registration was confirmed, contact us at concierge@i20summit.com within thirty days of the charge and we will investigate. Where we confirm an error, we will refund the difference to the original payment method.
This section covers genuine billing errors. It does not create a right to change your mind.
4. Substitution Instead of a Refund
Because we cannot offer refunds, we do offer substitution. If you cannot attend, you may ask us to transfer your pass to a colleague by writing to concierge@i20summit.com by Monday, October 26, 2026.
The person taking your place needs to meet the eligibility criteria for that pass, we approve substitutions at our discretion, a reasonable administrative fee may apply and we will tell you about it first, and only one substitution is permitted per pass. After the deadline we cannot guarantee a substitution, because credentials, catering and room capacity are committed in advance.
Passes may not be resold or listed on any secondary marketplace. Section 7 of our Terms and Conditions explains what happens if they are.
5. If We Cancel the Event
If we cancel the I20 Summit in its entirety and do not reschedule it, we will offer you either a credit toward a future event we produce or a refund of the amount you paid for your pass, less any non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred on your behalf. We will tell you which options are available and how to choose within thirty days of announcing the cancellation.
Any refund covers the pass only. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, visa costs, insurance or any other expense you incurred, which is why we recommend refundable bookings and travel insurance.
6. If We Postpone, Relocate or Change the Format
If we postpone the event, move it to another venue in the same metropolitan area, change its dates, or convert all or part of it to a virtual or hybrid format, your pass will be honored for the rescheduled or replacement event and no refund, credit or exchange is due. If you cannot attend the new dates, section 4 on substitution is available to you.
7. Chargebacks
Charges appear on your card or bank statement as WHOP*I20SUMMIT. If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first at concierge@i20summit.com. We would much rather resolve it directly and we usually can.
Starting a chargeback or a payment dispute instead of contacting us is a breach of our Terms and Conditions. Where a chargeback is filed against a valid purchase, we will contest it with the record of your purchase and of this policy, we may cancel the registration and the credential, and we may decline future registrations. Where a chargeback results in fees or costs to us, we may seek to recover them.
8. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy takes away any right you have under law that cannot be waived by agreement. If the law in your jurisdiction gives you a right we have not described here, that right still applies.
